The Employment Service Systems Research and Training Center (ESSRTC) seeks to develop, enhance, and utilize partnerships to improve the quality of employment services, opportunities, and outcomes for people with disabilities. We have designed five research projects to meet this goal and will examine partnerships across public agencies, between not for-profit and public agencies, and between rehabilitation agencies and businesses. The entire proposal creatively partners with stakeholders and systems to better meet the needs of people with disabilities.
Training, dissemination and technical assistance activities are designed to amplify and enhance the impact of the five research projects. The target audiences for training, dissemination and technical assistance includes people with disabilities, employers and all the people within the employment service system who serve people with disabilities. Distance learning technologies will be heavily relied on to deliver training and technical assistance and disseminate research results.
The ESSRTC is supported through Grant No.H133B040014 to Hunter College, City University of New York from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, U.S. Department of Education.
